Less than week after its launch, the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) online Philippine Business Registry System (PBRS) has been receiving positive feedback, Malacañang reported over the weekend.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said those who have used the online service cited the speed by which they were able to register their business name online and the fact that physical appearance is no longer needed to make the transaction.

Valte, however, did not indicate the number of people who have used the system so far.

The PBRS serves as a one-stop shop for entrepreneurs who want to transact or register their businesses.

Government agencies linked under the system include the DTI, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), Social Security System (SSS), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Newsbytes.ph
