Real-life Batman stands against Clown Attacks

As the “Scary Clown Craze” goes viral and has random people around the world dressing up as jesters with silly suits and white make up on their face, one man has decided to take a stand and show these troublemakers that they can’t randomly terrorize people without encountering a certain dark knight vigilante standing for justice.

Somewhere in Cumbria, Northwest England, a man dressed as Batman has been chasing the clowns off and telling kids and victims that they don’t have to worry and that they’re safe. According to The Telegraph, this man teamed up together with other costumed heroes to form a group called the “Cumbria Superheroes”, who are taking a stand against the clowns and reassuring kids that there is nothing to be scared of.

In a video message posted on the Cumbria Superheroes Facebook page, the man in the Batman costume reminded those who would join the Clown Craze that there would be a silent guardian protecting their victims:  “As for you clowns, if you want to scare someone, why don’t you try and scare me?”

While it’s easy to see Batman taking on clowns because of his obvious and long running rivalry with The Joker, the Clown Craze has been the subject of numerous reports since it started spreading from America to different parts of the world. People are traumatized to the point that some schools have banned clown outfits and similar attire to be used for Halloween. To see someone taking a symbol and a well known icon such as Batman and using it to give these troublemakers a taste of their own medicine is pretty reassuring that there are heroes and guardian angels watching our backs. — TJD, GMA News
