Some of the Facebook posts of the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) chief were questioned during the budget hearing in Congress on Thursday, according to a report on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.
Bayan Muna Rep. Carlo Zarate mentioned that NICA Director General Alex Monteagudo re-posted some questionable posts from several Facebook accounts.
One of the posts allegedly stated that congressmen use public funds to finance terrorists, which Zarate denied.
Zarate said that Monteagudo told him that he does not know the administrator of the said Facebook pages.
Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon spoke at the hearing in behalf of Monteagudo.
Biazon said Monteagudo was drawn to sympathize for those who fight Communist-terrorist groups.
Zarate, however, was not convinced by Biazon's explanation. -- BAP, GMA News
