WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Use these hashtags on Twitter and a green ribbon will appear on your tweet

World Mental Health Day is on Sunday (October 10) and to commemorate, raise awareness and uphold being a safe space for such discussions, Twitter is launching a custom green ribbon emoji.

Available all through the month of October, the green ribbon emoji will accompany tweets when specific hashtags are used.

Some of the hashtags include #UsapTayo, #TuloyAngKwento, #OnMyMind, #WorldMentalHealthDay, #WMHD2021, just to name a few.

But that's not all, according to Monrawee Ampolpittayanant, Twitter's Head of Public Policy, Government and Philanthropy for Southeast Asia, the platform has also partnered with local mental health authorities and nonprofits in the region for #ThereIsHelp, a notification service that provides valuable mental health information and resources.

Launched in 2019, #ThereIsHelp is a notification service that makes available mental health resources to vulnerable people and encourages them to seek professional help.

With mental health and well-being becoming such a pronounced concern, especially during the pandemic, it's nice to know help has become more accessible. — LA, GMA News
