PAGASA: Rain over north, Central Luzon; TD Ester heads northeast

Though Tropical Depression Ester moved away from the Philippines and headed for Japan, it will continue to bring rain over northern and Central Luzon on Wednesday. Also, PAGASA forecaster Mario Palafox told radio dzBB that while Ester was likely to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday afternoon, it would enhance the southwest monsoon. As of 4 a.m., PAGASA had Ester was moving toward southern Japan, was estimated to be 330 km northeast of Basco, Batanes.
