As of 4 a.m., it said Egay was estimated at 330 km northeast of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Egay is forecast to move northwest at 13 kph and is expected to be 285 km east-northeast of Casiguran, Aurora Saturday morning.

On Wednesday morning, it is expected to be 435 km north-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes.

It advised fisherfolk and small seacraft not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, seaboards of Southern Luzon and Visayas and the northern and eastern seaboards of Mindanao.

Also, it reminded residents in low-lying and mountainous areas of Bicol and Samar provinces to be alert against possible flash floods and landslides.

Outlook

In its 5 a.m. bulletin, PAGASA said rain with gusty winds will be experienced over Isabela while Bicol and Samar will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms that may trigger flash floods and landslides.

PAGASA said cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, the rest of Visayas and Cagayan, Aurora, Zambales and Bataan provinces.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
