Light to heavy rain expected over Visayas, Mindanao areas – PAGASA

The Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Central and Eastern Visayas Regions would experience cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, weather service PAGASA predicted in a Sunday morning forecast.

The northeast monsoon would meanwhile bring cloudy conditions and scattered rain over the Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon; as well as partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rain over the Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon.

The rest of the country would be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.

Winds would be strong to gale force from the northeast over northern and Central Luzon, and the eastern section of southern Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas would be rough to very rough.

Over the Visayas, the eastern section of Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon, winds would be moderate to strong from the east to northeast with moderate to rough seas.

Finally, winds over the rest of Mindanao would be light to moderate from the east to northeast with slight to moderate coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
