Baguio temp drops to 9.8°C, lowest since October

Baguio City on Monday had its coldest morning since the Amihan season started in October.

As reported in on Balitanghali, PAGASA said the temperature in Baguio City reached 9.8° Celsius at around 5:30 a.m.

Meanwhile, Tanay, Rizal, also had its coldest morning during this Amihan season by far — 17.4° Celsius on Monday.

Temperature in PAGASA's Science Garden in Quezon City was 21.6° Celsius.

Aside from the cold weather, the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan also brings rain to some parts of the country.

According to Metraweather's forecast, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Mindoro provinces will likely experience rain on Monday.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, on the other hand, have low chances of having rains.

Meanwhile, rains are expected in Aklan, Capiz, and Negros Occidental in Visayas, as well as in some portions of Northern Mindanao, Caraga, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Davao region.

Due to Amihan's surge, PAGASA also raised a gale warning over the eastern seaboards of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
