ITCZ continues to affect Mindanao; to bring cloudy skies, rainshowers —PAGASA

An intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu, and Basilan, PAGASA said on Monday afternoon.

According to the state weather bureau’s 4 p.m. bulletin, the ITCZ may cause light to moderate rains over the said areas within the next few hours.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms should be expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Hot and humid weather will continue to persist over the said areas until Tuesday.

PAGASA also advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
