Amihan to bring light rains over Cordillera, Cagayan, Aurora, Quezon on Friday

The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon on Friday, PAGASA said on Thursday.

In a 4 p.m. video update, weather specialist Ana Clauren added that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers is expected over Visayas and Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.

Gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Northern Coast of Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, and the Northern Coast of Ilocos Norte.

Due to expected rough sea conditions, PAGASA cautioned against sea travel.

According to the weather bureau, no storm is expected to form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the next two to three days. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
