Easterlies seen to affect southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao —PAGASA


The easterlies  or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Bicol region, Quezon, and Northern Samar on Saturday, PAGASA said.

In its 24-hour weather update, the weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains in Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora.

Metro Manila, Cordillera region, Ilocos region, and the rest of Central Luzon may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Localized thunderstorms may, meanwhile, bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Gale warnings are raised over the northern coast of Polillo Island, Panukulan, and Burdeos, Camarines Norte, the northern coast of Camarines Sur, the northern and eastern coast of Catanduanes, the eastern coast of Rapu-Rapu Islands, the eastern coast of Sorsogon.

The warning are also raised over Northern Samar, the eastern coast of Eastern Samar, the eastern coast of Dinagat Islands, the eastern coast of Surigao del Norte (including Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands), Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.
