Amihan to bring light rain across Philippines on Thursday —PAGASA

The Northeast Monsoon, or Amihan, is expected to bring light rain over the Philippines on Thursday, PAGASA said on Wednesday.

In its 24-hour weather update, the weather bureau said that cloudy skies with light rain may prevail over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain.

The temperature in Metro Manila dropped to 19.8°C at 6:30 a.m. and peaked at 30.2°C at 1:50 p.m.

Due to moderate to strong winds associated with the monsoon, gale warnings are raised over the northern and eastern coasts of Northern Samar, the eastern coast of Eastern Samar, Siargao, Surigao del Sur, and the eastern coast of Davao Oriental.

The weather bureau alerted small vessels against big waves due to expected moderate to rough sea conditions. — BM, GMA News
