Overcast weather on Valentine's Day in Caraga, Davao region


The northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon and Visayas on Friday, Valentine's Day, according to the early morning forecast posted by PAGASA.

For those who will celebrate the Day of Hearts in Caraga and Davao Region, it would be advisable to bring umbrellas as these regions will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm brought about by the easterlies.

It is also advised for the residents to be vigilant, as flash floods or landslides may also occur in these areas during severe thunderstorm

For Valentinos and Valentinas in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas, better to be safe and dry as these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy skies to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorm, so still better to bring umbrellas and jackets.

The forecast wind speed in eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao is moderate to strong and moving northeast to east while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

In northern and central Luzon, the forecast wind speed, light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

For the rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is light to moderate moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
