Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over the Philippines — PAGASA

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is expected to cast cloudy skies and rains over the Philippines within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said Amihan is affecting Luzon and the Visayas.

Cloudy skies with light rains were forecast over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Panay Island, Samar provinces, and Biliran.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains should be expected over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Visayas, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are seen to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Mindanao.

PAGASA advised residents in southern Philippines to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorm. — Julia Mari Ornedo/RSJ, GMA News
