LPA may bring rains to Vis-Min areas in coming days —PAGASA

A low-pressure area (LPA) being monitored by PAGASA may bring rains over the eastern portion of Visayas and Mindanao in the next few days, the state weather bureau said Saturday.

In a daily video update, weather specialist Samuel Duran said the LPA was spotted at 780 kilometers east of Davao City at 3 p.m.

While the weather system has a low chance of intensifying into a cyclone, Duran said there is still a chance it may develop into a tropical depression.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Sunday.

But these have no significant effect on the country, according to PAGASA. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LBG, GMA News
