TD Ambo to bring scattered rain, thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao region


The trough of Tropical Depression Ambo is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Caraga and Davao region, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, the weather bureau said the center of Ambo was last seen 330 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.

Ambo remains almost stationary, PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Moreover, the weather bureau said light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Visayas and the rest of Luzon, while moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters should be expected in Mindanao.
