ITCZ to bring rains over Palawan, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao, Zamboanga

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) or the area where trade winds from the north and south meet is affecting Palawan and Mindanao on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

This will cause cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, Davao Region, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the ridge of a high pressure area is extending over Northern Luzon.

The easterlies on the other hand prevail over the rest of the country, and these will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
