ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, rains, thunderstorms over parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA reported.

Bicol Region and the provinces of Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening due to the ITCZ / localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast in central and southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the northwest to west direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In northern Luzon wind speed is light moving in a variable direction while coastal waters will remain slight.
