LPA, Habagat to bring rainshowers over Metro Manila, parts of the country

A low pressure area (LPA) and the southwest monsoon are expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila and 11 other areas, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said other areas affected are the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Mindanao, the provinces of Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Isabela.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides  during light to moderate with at times, heavy rains.

At 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 75 kilometers north northwest of Coron, Palawan.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers may prevail over the rest of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 24.9°C at 7:50 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 30.1°C at 1:50 p.m.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
