Habagat to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Metro Manila, 6 areas

The southwest monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula, according to PAGASA on Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the rest of the country.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

The PAGASA synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 26.8°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 29°C at 10:30 a.m.

At 3 p.m. on Thursday, tropical storm Noul (formerly Leon) was estimated at 760 kilometers west of Central Luzon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

It is moving northwestward at 25 kph.—LDF, GMA News
