LPA to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas

The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 55 kilometers west northwest of Catarman, Northern Samar early Tuesday morning that will affect some parts of the country, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, and Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the bureau continues to monitor the active tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) that will have no effect on the country. Tropical Storm Dolphin (formerly Marce), located 1,495 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon packing maximum sustained winds 85 kilometers per hour near the center with gustiness of up to 105 kph and moving in the north northeast direction at 10 kph.

Wind speed forecast for Luzon is light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

In the Visayas and Mindanao wind speed will be light moving in the northwest to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight.
