State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday warned of possible thunderstorm in Metro Manila within 12 hours.

“Thunderstorm is MORE LIKELY to develop over #NationalCapitalRegion within 12 hours. All are advised to continue monitoring for updates,” PAGASA said in a 10 a.m. advisory on Twitter.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is currently monitoring the tropical depression located at the east of Central Luzon, which may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) either on Thursday morning or afternoon.

PAGASA said the tropical depression, which will be called Rolly once inside PAR, may develop into a tropical storm within 24 hours.

The state weather bureau noted that the weather disturbance is not affecting any portion of the country at this time.

“The Tropical Depression will begin to move generally westward by Saturday afternoon while moving towards Bicol Region,” PAGASA said.

“It will continue to intensify while moving over the Philippine Sea and may reach typhoon category prior to landfall,” PAGASA added.—AOL, GMA News
