ITCZ to bring rains over Mindanao —PAGASA

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Leyte, and Bohol, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

PAGASA also said cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the tail-end of a frontal system.

Localized thunderstorms, meanwhile, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

Moreover, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over the northern and western section of Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters should be expected over the rest of the country.—AOL, GMA News
