LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over Aurora, Quirino, Isabela

A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Aurora, Quirino, and Isabela, according to PAGASA on Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The LPA was estimated at 265 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rains may prevail over Kalinga, Apayao, Mt. Province, Ifugao, and the rest of Cagayan Valley due to the northeast monsoon.
?The northeast monsoon may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Quezon.

However, PAGASA said the monsoon has no “significant impact” on the country.

Easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, meanwhile, are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Mindanao.

PAGASA said severe thunderstorms may cause flooding or landslides. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
