Tail-end of frontal system to bring rain to Northern, Central Luzon —PAGASA

The tail-end of a frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and Quezon, PAGASA said Monday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash foods or landslides during moderate to heavy rains.

PAGASA said Palawan will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a tropical depression (formerly Vicky).

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon and CALABARZON due to the northeast monsoon.

Moreover, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over Luzon and Eastern Visayas.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
