PAGASA said flooding (including flashfloods) and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall in the said areas, especially in those identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to the hazards or in localities receiving significant amount rainfall during the past couple of days or weeks.

Further, adjacent or nearby areas may also experience flooding in the absence of such rainfall occurrence due to surface runoff or swelling of river channels.

The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices in the concerned areas are advised to take appropriate measures and to watch for the next update. —LBG, GMA News
