Frontal system to bring moderate, heavy rains over Samar provinces

The Samar provinces are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains in the next 24 hours due to the Tail-End of a Frontal System, PAGASA said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas, the Bicol region, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will have light to moderate with at times heavy rains due to the weather system, PAGASA said in its 11 a.m. advisory.

Likewise, the state weather bureau said flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides may occur during heavy or prolonged periods of rainfall, especially in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to the hazards or in localities that received significant amount of rainfall during the past couple of days or weeks.

PAGASA advised the public and concerned disaster risk reduction and management offices to take appropriate measures and watch for the next update on this weather system. —LBG, GMA News
