Amihan, tail-end of frontal system to bring cloudy skies, rains over northern Luzon

The tail-end of a frontal system and the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will cast cloudy skies and rains over northern Luzon and other parts of the country within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said late Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the state weather bureau said the tail-end of a frontal system was affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon, while Amihan was affecting the rest of the said area.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms were forecast over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Northern Quezon.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains should also be expected over Ilocos Region, Abra, and Benguet.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms were seen to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
