Auring seen 700 kms east of Surigao del Sur

Tropical Depression Auring is moving west-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour (kph) as it stays east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, PAGASA said.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said TD Auring was estimated based on all available data at 700 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph, and is moving west northwestward at 15 kph.

Meanwhile, the tail-end of a frontal system is bringing cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms at the Visayas, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

The weather bureau said possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains may occur on the said areas.

The rest of the country meanwhile will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. -NB, GMA News
