PAGASA raised the orange rainfall warning over Biliran, Eastern Samar and Samar on Monday, and the yellow rainfall warning over Leyte and Northern Cebu due to heavy rains from Tropical Depression Auring (international name: Dujuan).
The rainfall alerts were raised at 5:24 a.m.
In areas under orange rainfall warning, flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, in areas under yellow rainfall warning, flooding and landslides are posible in areas prone to these hazards.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 was raised over all the above-mentioned areas due to Auring.
PAGASA advised the public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned to take the appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition, and await the next advisory at 8 a.m. —KG, GMA News
