LPA to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over 5 areas in Mindanao

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, the Davao Region, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and Cotabato, according to PAGASA on Tuesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate with, at times, heavy rains.

At 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the LPA was estimated at 1,015 kilometers east-southeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may prevail over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands due to the northeast monsoon.
