Easterlies to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan


The effects of the easterlies will continue to be felt in most parts of the country on Sunday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also due to the easterlies with flash floods or landslides probably occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Luzon and Visayas will have experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

Wind speed in Mindanao, meanwhile, will be light to moderate and moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
