Monsoon trough to affect Luzon, Western Visayas —PAGASA

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over several parts of Luzon and Western Visayas due to the monsoon trough, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the provinces of Zambales and Bataan will be affected by the said weather condition.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon trough or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible due to severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

Further, the northern and western sections of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will prevail over Visayas, Mindanao and the rest of Luzon. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
