Southwest Monsoon to bring scattered rains over Ilocos, Batanes, Babuyan Islands

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect parts of Luzon on Saturday and is expected to bring scattered rains over the Ilocos Region, Batanes and Babuyan Islands, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during times of moderate to heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may also be possibly occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate in Extreme Northern Luzon, with waves reaching 2.5 meters tall.

Elsewhere in the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
