Habagat prevails over Metro Manila, rest of PHL

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA said the monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, the typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility was last estimated at 1,955 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
