Rainshowers, thunderstorms to prevail over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region, according to PAGASA on Thursday.

According to the weather bureau's 24-hour forecast, flash floods and landslides may occur over the affected areas during moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA said this is due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Residents were warned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City also recorded a minimum temperature of 25°C at 5 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 32.5°C at 1:50 p.m. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
