Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao due to the ITCZ


The effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to be felt in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to east direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
