Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Mindoro due to southwest monsoon


The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, and Mindoro provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm brought about by the Southwest Monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern and Central Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to east direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to southwest direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
