Orange rainfall warning up over Zambales, Bataan; yellow over NCR, 2 provinces

PAGASA on Saturday issued orange and yellow rainfall warnings over five areas in Luzon amid heavy rains brought about by the Habagat or Southwest Monsoon.

The orange rainfall warning was issued for Subic and Olongapo in Zambales, and Bataan as of 2 p.m., which means flooding is threatening.

Yellow warning was meanwhile issued for some areas of Metro Manila (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela); Pampanga (Porac, Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Masantol, Guagua, Macabebe); Bulacan (Hagonoy, Paombong, Calumpit, Malolos, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulacan, Meycauayan, Obando, Marilao, Pandi, Santa Maria, San Jose Del Monte); and Zambales (Castillejos, San Marcelino, San Narciso, San Felipe, San Antonio).

This means there is flooding in flood-prone areas.

PAGASA said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over Cavite, Rizal, Batangas, Tarlac, Laguna, the rest of Metro Manila, Zambales, Pampanga and Bulacan.

Meanwhile, the yellow rainfall warning was also issued in Occidental Mindoro and Palawan (Calamian Islands), meaning that flooding is possible in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.
