By JOAHNA LEI CASILAO, GMA News

The southwest monsoon or the Habagat is expected to bring monsoon rains over Zambales, Bataan, Pangasinan, and La Union, according to PAGASA on Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the state weather agency warned against possible flash floods or landslides during scattered to widespread moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Habagat will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, rest of Ilocos Region, rest of Central Luzon, Babuyan Islands, Batanes, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country, which may cause flash floods and landslides.
