PAGASA: Isang weakens, exits the PAR

Isang weakened into a tropical storm and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, PAGASA said Sunday.

In its 5 p.m. severe weather bulletin, the weather agency said Isang exited the PAR at 1:10 p.m.

PAGASA said the center of Isang was located 605 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 105 kph, and central pressure of 994 hPa.

It is moving north-northwestward at 15 kph, PAGASA added.

In the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Isang remains less likely to affect sea conditions within the coastal waters of the country. — DVM, GMA News
