ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao


The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for the western section of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the southwest to south direction while coastal waters slight to moderate.

Th rest of Luzon will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The wind speed in the rest of the country will be light to moderate moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
