Monsoon trough to bring rains over most parts of the country

The trough of the monsoon will bring rains to most parts of the country on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning advisory.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA is also monitoring a low pressure area located at 785 km east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
