LPA, ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of the country —PAGASA

A low pressure area and the intertropical convergence zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region, and Palawan, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said the LPA was located 150 kilometers east southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 3 p.m. embedded in the ITCZ affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible due to severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
