LPA, ITCZ will bring rains over 4 areas across country —PAGASA

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the Visayas, Bicol Region, Caraga, and Northern Mindanao, according to PAGASA on Saturday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency said the weather condition is due to a low-pressure area and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

Residents were warned against possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated at 240 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar embedded in the ITCZ affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, ITCZ and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA said flash floods or landslides are also possible.
