Cloudy skies, scattered rains over MIMAROPA, Western Visayas due to LPA, ITCZ


A Low Pressure Area (LPA) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

As of 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated over the coastal waters of Dumaran, Palawan embedded along the ITCZ.

MIMAROPA and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ / localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Palawan is light to moderate moving in the west to southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
