ITCZ to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms over 4 areas

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Palawan, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned affected residents that flash floods and landslides are possible due to severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash flood sand landslides are also possible.

The synoptic station at the Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.2°C at 6:30 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 33.6°C at 1:05 p.m. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
