Cloudy skies, scattered rains over Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan due to LPA embedded in ITCZ

As of 3 a.m. on Tuesday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 335 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA reported.

The shear line (Tail-end of Frontal System), meanwhile, will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon.

Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA embedded along the ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains shear line / northeast monsoon with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Wind speed forecast for Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.
