Shear line affecting Southern Luzon; trough of LPA to bring rains over parts of Mindanao —PAGASA

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Aklan, and Antique, PAGASA said Wednesday.

In its daily weather forecast, the state weather bureau advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Davao Region, Surigao del Sur, and Sarangani will also experience the same weather condition due to the trough of a low pressure area.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Localized thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms, PAGASA added.

Further, moderate to strong wind and moderate to rough coastal water conditions will prevail over Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced over the rest of the country.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/AOL, GMA News
