Cloudy skies, scattered rains to prevail over parts of Luzon due to Amihan

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers will prevail over parts of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, weather bureau PAGASA said on Saturday.

According to PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Calabarzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao is moderate to strong while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. — Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
